    (TFOCA) Tactical Fiber OpticConnectors

AOS designs and manufactures the shell size F version of the TFOCA/16 and TFOCA/17 connector systems. Though military specifications are not available for the this larger channel count connector, it is designed to meet the performance objectives as outlined in MIL-PRF-83526C for ,tactical fiber optic connectors and assemblies. The AOS Hermaphroditic TFOCA/16-F and TFOCA/17-F connectors utilize the same MSHP/16 Termini used in the Shell Size B series (4CH), which is based on an emerging standard published by the Defense Supply Center Columbus. This new family of inter-connect solution represents the “best in class” for higher fiber optic channel count deployable connectors and afford end users many features required for field deployable conditions including, instant gender conversion on the plug, removable inset cap for fast cleaning, exceptional rugged design and multi-channel connectively. This new generation of Tactical Fiber Optic Connector is fully inter-changeable, inter-matable with older 12CH versions of the AFSI TFOCA-II® style connectors, but feature superior optical performance. These style connectors can only be sold to the United States Government or to contractors servicing the United States Government.
