LEGACY TFOCA PLUG

(TFOCA) TACTICAL FIBER OPTIC CONNECTORS

AOS designs and manufactures tactical fiber optic connectors and assemblies (TFOCA) that conform to the legacy M83526/12-01 PLUG, M83526/13-01 JAM NUT Receptacle standards originally published in MIL-C-83526 and initially provided by AT&T®. The TFOCA is the fiber optic “work horse” for US Army and Marine Corps and are hermaphroditic, facilitating non-selective coupling with similar connectors. This ruggedized connector and housing withstands repeated handling and connection/disconnection cycles typically required for rapid fiber optic deployment and retrieval in a tactical or harsh environmental applications. The design environmentally protective construction provide protection from high compressive and tensile loads, dust and dirt. In addition, waterproof seal at every interface ensure outstanding resistance to moisture penetration. Every connector is protected by its own captive hermaphroditic dust cover. Available is Olive drab cadmium over aluminum or stainless steel special order.
