With a renewed focus on energy, the oil and gas industry has experimented and implemented down hole monitoring technology using interferometer sensing to measure temperature, pressure and rate of flow accurately and efficiently though fiber optics. Fiber optic sensing enables production companies to extend monitoring depths beyond 10K feet and accurately account for critical characteristics of the well column. Well completion applications typically utilize M29504 termini capable of higher operating temperature and also utilize MIL-PRF-83526 style connectors at the top of the well, to provide connectively into the operations center. |
