Pipelines systems have provided excellent corridors for fiber optic right-of-way. Many long haul fiber optic networks run parallel with pipelines. Fiber optics is now finding their inside of the pipeline itself, performing interferometer sensing capability and communication backbones. AOS has experience in developing high pressure bulkheads capable of providing service ingress/egress into the pipelines as well as a connectivity junction allowing testing and double isolation. In addition to advanced connector applications, AOS can also supply standard multi-channel assemblies to facilitate the patching and equipment connectivity at repeater huts. Using ruggedized indoor/outdoor cable, pre-terminated jumpers can be subjected to direct burial at outdoor facilities and routed into repeater huts for equipment connectivity. |
